Privacy Policy

The short version

Pigmnt generates palettes locally on your iPhone and stores your personal palette library on your device. It does not upload your prompts, photos or palettes. Apple and RevenueCat handle purchase information to unlock Pro, and Supabase stores anonymous usage events that help us understand the app. You can choose to share or export your own content.

Introduction

Pigmnt ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by BenjaDev, an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the Pigmnt iOS application handles your information.

Information We Collect

Pigmnt does not ask you to create an account or provide an email. Local content, purchase information and anonymous usage events are handled as follows:

• Color palettes — Palettes you generate and save are stored locally on your device only. Pigmnt does not upload them; you decide whether to share or export a palette.
• Text prompts — What you type is processed by Pigmnt's local color engine. Your prompts are not sent to us or to an external generation provider.
• Photos — When you extract colors from a picture, Pigmnt processes the image locally and does not upload it. It only accesses the photo you choose.
• Purchase data — If you buy Pigmnt Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple and validated through RevenueCat, which processes your purchase history (which product, when, and whether it is active) together with a random app user identifier. We do not ask RevenueCat to associate this identifier with your name or email, and we do not use purchase data for advertising or tracking across apps. Apple handles payment details; Pigmnt does not receive or store your card information.
• Usage analytics — Anonymous product-interaction events, described in the next section.

Anonymous Usage Analytics & Tracking

To understand how the app is used and improve it, Pigmnt sends anonymous product-interaction events to a database we operate on Supabase, our cloud provider. Examples: the app was opened, an onboarding step or screen was viewed, the first palette was saved, the subscription screen was shown, and a purchase was started, completed or cancelled.

Each event contains the event name and short labels (such as a step name or which plan was selected), the app version, your device language, a random identifier created when the app is installed, a per-session identifier and an anonymous Supabase sign-in that is not tied to any account. Events never include your palettes, prompts, photos, name, email, contacts, location or advertising identifier.

We use this data only for analytics. It is not linked to your identity, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. Pigmnt contains no advertising SDKs. The analytics events do not contain the content of a palette or the text or photo used to create it.

Third-Party Services

• Apple App Store — Payment processing for Pigmnt Pro (yearly subscription or lifetime purchase).
• RevenueCat — Validates the purchase and lets you restore it on a new device.
• Supabase — Hosts the database that stores the anonymous usage analytics described above.

Your Data, Your Device

You can delete saved palettes in the app. Deleting Pigmnt removes its locally stored content from that installation; any copies you have shared or exported remain under your control. Pigmnt keeps no server-side copy of your palettes, prompts or photos. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription or erase purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat. Anonymous usage events already sent to Supabase are separate from your local content.

Children's Privacy

Pigmnt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
