Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Pigmnt ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Pigmnt is developed and operated by BenjaDev, an independent developer.

Description of Service

Pigmnt is an iOS color palette app. Local text and photo engines generate palettes on your device. You can create and save personal palettes, copy color values, and export palettes for design and development projects.

Accounts

Pigmnt does not require an account or sign-in. Palette generation and your personal palette library stay on your device. Purchases and anonymous usage analytics use the services described in our Privacy Policy.

Purchases & Billing

Pigmnt offers two tiers:

  • Free — Unlimited palette generation from text, photos or shake, the curated palette library, saving to your library, HEX/RGB/HSL codes and share cards
  • Pro — All Free features plus code exports (CSS variables, Tailwind config, SwiftUI and Adobe ASE)

Pigmnt Pro is offered in two ways, both processed by the Apple App Store (and managed via RevenueCat), so Apple's terms for in-app purchases apply:

  • Yearly subscription — an auto-renewing subscription billed annually. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when an eligible free trial ends. The price, annual term and any trial are shown in the app before you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. To avoid a trial charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
  • Lifetime — a one-time, non-consumable purchase charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. It has no recurring charge and does not renew.

If you reinstall the app or change devices, sign in with the same Apple ID and use "Restore Purchases" in Pigmnt's purchase screen or Settings to restore eligible purchases and any active subscription without buying again. Prices are shown in your local currency before you buy.

Apple Standard EULA

The app is licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms also explain Pigmnt's service and purchase arrangements.

Content Ownership

You retain your rights in the personal content you bring to the app. You may use the palettes you create in personal and commercial projects. Generating a palette does not guarantee that its colors are unique or give you exclusive rights over them.

Local Palette Generation

Text-to-palette uses Pigmnt's local color engine, and photo color extraction also runs on your device. Neither depends on Apple's generative AI services or a particular Pro iPhone model. Pigmnt does not upload your prompts, photos or personal palettes to us or to an external generation service. Results may vary and are not guaranteed to meet specific design or accessibility requirements.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Abuse the palette generation feature by submitting harmful, abusive, or inappropriate prompts

Intellectual Property

The Pigmnt app, including its design, code, logo, and branding, is the intellectual property of BenjaDev. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the app without prior written permission.

Disclaimers

Pigmnt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Use of the app is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BenjaDev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
